The Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI) officially welcomed its new Officer-in-Charge (OIC) Assistant Director, Dr. Anthony C. Bucad, during a turnover ceremony held as part of the agency’s regular Monday flag-raising ceremony on March 31, 2025.
Dr. Bucad succeeds Dr. Oscar Jhan D. Cabanayan, who formally relinquished his post in the presence of BAI officials and employees.
In his farewell message, Dr. Cabanayan expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to serve as BAI Assistant Director and contribute to the agency’s mission of advancing animal welfare and livestock development.
Meanwhile, Dr. Bucad thanked the organization for the trust placed in him as the new OIC Assistant Director. He encouraged BAI employees to remain dedicated and cooperative in carrying out the Bureau’s mandates, emphasizing that collective effort is essential to the agency’s success.
With this leadership transition, BAI looks forward to new opportunities and strengthened initiatives in promoting animal health, food security, and livestock development across the country.
